Current Services

Individual Therapy

I currently specialize in individual therapy for children and adolescents ages 6 - 19 years old. Although I have experience in working with adults and couples, I will only be accepting new child and adolescent clients.

Children and adolescents face a variety of challenges as they grow and develop. Individual therapy provides a supportive, age-appropriate environment where young people can express their thoughts and feelings, build healthy and practical coping skills, and strengthen their emotional awareness and well-being. Through a collaborative and strengths-based approach, therapy helps children and teens develop healthy ways to manage emotions, navigate relationships, improve self-esteem, and cope with life's challenges.

Parenting and Family Sessions

Parenting and family sessions are offered to support parents guardians or caregivers of current child and adolescent clients. Sessions are offered periodically throughout treatment to assess treatment progress, address parent concerns and support well-being and coping strategies at home.

Consultation Services

Navigating support services in educational settings for children/adolescents experiencing mental health difficulty can be overwhelming. During consultation sessions we will review current mental health concerns and diagnoses, current academic and/or behavior concerns and current services and accommodations. The goal of consultation is to increase parent knowledge about their child’s diagnosis and appropriate accommodations services, as well as build confidence in advocating for your child’s needs. Consultation sessions and guidance provided within the sessions does not guarantee a client will qualify for services in an educational setting. I do not have the availability to attend school meetings.

*Consultation Sessions are available through private pay packages only

What I can Help With

Neuro Divergence

Neurodivergence refers to natural differences in how a person's brain processes information, learns, communicates, and experiences the world. This includes conditions such as ADHD, autism, learning differences, and other variations in cognitive functioning. Neurodivergent children and adolescents often possess unique strengths, perspectives, and abilities, while also facing challenges related to attention, executive functioning, emotional regulation, sensory sensitivities, social interactions, or academic demands.

My approach focuses on understanding, supporting, and celebrating these differences rather than trying to change them.

Therapy can help children and adolescents build self-awareness, develop coping and self-advocacy skills, strengthen emotional regulation, and social skills and increase confidence while supporting their overall well-being and success at home, school, and in their communities.

Anxiety

Anxiety is one of the most common mental health concerns among children and adolescents. While occasional worry is a normal part of development, anxiety becomes problematic when fears, worries, or physical symptoms interfere with daily functioning at home, school, or in social settings.

Children and teens with anxiety may experience excessive worry, difficulty concentrating, irritability, restlessness, avoidance of certain situations, sleep disturbances, or physical symptoms such as headaches and stomachaches.

Depression

Depression is a mental health condition that can affect how children and adolescents think, feel, and function in their daily lives. While it is normal for young people to experience occasional sadness, depression involves persistent feelings of sadness, irritability, hopelessness, or loss of interest in activities they once enjoyed. Children and teens may also experience changes in sleep, appetite, energy levels, concentration, academic performance, and social relationships.

Life Transitions

Life transitions—such as school changes, moves, parent divorce, increasing family size, blending families or even changing grades can bring uncertainty, stress, and mixed emotions. Therapy helps navigate these changes, build resilience, and discover new growth opportunities.

Grief and Loss

Children and adolescents experience grief in unique ways that may differ from adults. Losses such as the death of a family member, friend or family pet can impact a young person's emotional well-being, behavior, relationships, and daily functioning. Grief may be expressed through sadness, anger, anxiety, withdrawal, difficulty concentrating, changes in behavior, or physical complaints.
